About Us
For over 75 years, Haven Vets has been caring for pets and the people who love them. With two sites across Essex, we've grown from one of the country's earliest registered veterinary hospitals into a trusted small animal practice, serving generations of families and their pets. Many of our clients have been with us for decades, returning with new pets and recommending us to family and friends.
Behind the scenes, our skilled and dedicated team is supported by excellent facilities, including a feline-friendly clinic area and advanced surgical and diagnostic equipment. This allows us to combine modern veterinary medicine with the personal service that has always been at the heart of Haven.

The Role
We are ideally looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon, although we are happy to consider part-time applications (2–3 days per week). The position provides the opportunity to develop your own interests whilst working alongside an experienced and supportive clinical team.

Who We're Looking For
You will be:
- A qualified Veterinary Surgeon registered (or eligible to register) with the RCVS
- Passionate about delivering excellent patient and client care
- A positive team player
- An effective communicator
- Keen to contribute to our supportive practice culture
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who will enjoy being part of our team. Experience level is less important than attitude and personality, and we welcome applications from both experienced vets and new graduates.
